1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, accessing, or using WanderBite (“we”, “us”, or “the app”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app. We may revise these terms from time to time; continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Your account

You may use WanderBite as a guest for basic food discovery. An account is required to save your taste profile, bucket list, trips, circles, and to purchase WanderBite+. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to create an account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
• Harass, impersonate, or misuse other members in circles, decisions, or trips.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the app or its services.
• Share explicit, offensive, or infringing content through group features.
• Resell or sublicense access to WanderBite without our permission.

We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations.

4. AI suggestions & disclaimers

WanderBite uses AI to generate food, drink, and restaurant suggestions based on the information you provide. These are general recommendations, not professional, medical, dietary, allergen, or nutritional advice. Always verify ingredients, allergens, and availability before ordering. The availability of dishes and restaurants may change, and results may be inaccurate or incomplete. You assume all risk related to your food choices and dining decisions.

5. WanderBite+ subscriptions

WanderBite+ is an optional subscription that unlocks premium features such as ad-free use, unlimited AI searches, and the ability to start group decisions and trips. By subscribing, you agree to the following billing terms:

• Plans: WanderBite+ is offered as a 1-Week Pass and a 2-Week Pass (both one-time), and a Monthly subscription (recurring). Current pricing is shown on our website.
• Billing: One-time passes grant Plus access for the stated duration and do not renew. The monthly subscription is billed through our payment provider, Stripe, and renews automatically each month until cancelled.
• Cancellation: You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time from the app or through your app store settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current paid period.
• Refunds: We do not issue refunds or credits for partial billing periods or expired passes once a payment has been processed, except where required by law.
• Price changes: We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice; any change applies only to your next renewal or purchase, not a period already paid for.
• Free tier: Basic discovery features remain available without a paid plan.

6. Third-party services

The app relies on third-party services to operate, including AI providers, Stripe for payment processing, Google AdSense for advertising, and map and restaurant services for location lookups. Each third party has its own terms and privacy practices, and you are responsible for reviewing them where relevant. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of these third parties.

7. User content

You retain ownership of content you contribute to circles, decisions, and trips (such as custom food suggestions). By contributing, you grant us a limited license to use, display, and process that content solely to operate those shared features for you and the members you invite.

8. Limitation of liability

WanderBite is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on a suggestion, a dining decision, group activity, or a subscription purchase. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months, or $50, whichever is greater.

9. Availability & changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without liability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the app.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the app operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless otherwise required by local consumer law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
